Bad Bridesmaid (Billionaire's Club Book 11) by Elise Faber
It began with a cock. Of the rooster variety. It ended with a groomsman toppling into the wedding cake. Heidi hadn’t meant to be a bad bridesmaid. She loved her best friend and the man Kate was marrying. Who she didn’t love? The groom’s brother.
The cocky—no pun intended—jerk had made Heidi aware of exactly what he thought of her. That being, she wasn’t worth anything more than a quick romp and a disappearing act before the sun rose.
Fine. Whatever. She’d done her own version of the Disappearing Act on more than one occasion. It didn’t matter that she had thought they had shared something . . . well, something more. Clearly, she’d been wrong, and now he was dead to her. Of course, that was before she had to walk down the aisle with him. Because that’s when all hell broke loose.

One Night Pact by J.S. Cooper
“One night. No strings attached. We do the kinkiest things we can think of and we never talk about them again.”
What do you say when your half-naked best friend approaches you with the craziest suggestion you've ever heard in your life? You certainly don’t entertain the idea. And you certainly don’t come up with a list of do’s and don’ts for the night that is never going to happen.
My best friend, Harry Parker Huntington, wants us to make a one-night pact. He’s a playboy, hellbent on never settling down and I’m a tomboy ready to change my image. All of our lives, he’s been able to convince me to join in on disastrous schemes and plans that always seem to blow up in my face. But he says this one is foolproof.
We’ll be at his parents house for Christmas and as Harry says, “what happens at my parents house stays at my parents house.” I’m not sure it’s the best idea he’s ever had, but he always did have a way of making me say yes, to just about everything.

Fools (Licking Thicket #3) by Lucy Lennox & May Archer
Tucker Wright’s Clues for Life: What’s a 4-letter word for an utterly oblivious, totally commitment-phobic, heartbreakingly gorgeous man with a pet pig named Bernadette?
That’d be D-U-N-N, as in Dunn Johnson, my very best pal and fishing buddy since I moved to Licking Thicket. What’s a 6-letter word for a nerdy, crossword-loving town doctor who’s doomed to be hopelessly, thoroughly, irrevocably, in love with that straight best friend for the rest of his born days?
That’s T-U-C-K-E-R, as in me. But when I agree to let Dunn be my 24/7 dating coach, and he decides to get our whole nosy town in on the act, there’s only one 5-letter word to describe the pair of us. F-O-O-L-S.

Lost Girl (Wolf Girl Series Book 2) by Leia Stone
I've been kidnapped by vampires and Sawyer is under some love spell. Now I’ve got to traipse through the entire Magic Lands without getting killed to make it back to Werewolf City… hopefully in one piece.
Everything would have worked out as planned if Sawyer hadn’t gone on another revenge killing spree in my honor. Now the entire magical world is at war, and my True Mate and I are stuck in the middle of it. It's just another Monday.

Shadowspell Academy: Year of the Chameleon by Shannon Mayer
I’ve made it through the Culling Trials, the test that proved my mettle against every possible challenge. I assumed that meant things would settle down and I’d start truly learning. No more danger. No more death threats. No more wondering who was out to get me.
Apparently, that was not to be. I am what this supernatural world calls a Chameleon—a rarity even amongst all these monsters. And rare things are coveted and feared by the most powerful of all—The House Of Wonder. It’s a good thing I have my crew at my back, because this Academy? It’s about to get seriously ugly. Which means this farm girl is ready to play by only one set of rules. Her own.

Fenix (Stolen Warriors #3) by Ella Maven
The deal is to protect her, but I'll do more than that. I'll save her.
Jennie - I can't remember that last time I saw Earth. All I know now is red sand, cruel aliens, and silence. Getting sick from some alien virus damaged my vocal chords, and it's painful to even say yes when my captors ask if I'm hungry.
I don't know what my future holds, but I've always had a sixth sense about things. That's why I know when the blue alien with orange hair and black gloves meets my eyes, that my life is about to change. I just don't know if it's for better or for worse.
Fenix - The only way I've been surviving through the chronic pain of my mutation is the drug, Kixx. I hate what the addiction has done to me, but what I resent the most is that I've had to barter with a lowlife Rogastix for my supply.
One day, he shows off his new property — a human female. He makes me a deal to protect her until he can exchange her for a healthy supply of Kixx of which I'll get a lion's share. But I'm a Drixonian Warrior somewhere beneath my melted skin and raw nerves. Now matter how badly I need the drug, I won't let her be sold. I'll get her to safety, even if it costs me everything.

The Last True Gentleman (True Gentlemen #12) by Grace Burrowes
Sycamore Dorning has watched one sibling after another succumb to the blandishments of wedded bliss, while he has grown wealthy and—deuce take it—lonely. He loves the ladies generally, though he waits in vain for the woman who can love him back in all his contrary, stubborn, outspoken glory.
Jeanette, Marchioness of Tavistock, endured six years of wedded purgatory before earning the independence of widowhood. She's admittedly attracted to Sycamore. He's refreshingly blunt, unconventional, and loyal to those he cares about. When trouble stalks her, she turns to Sycamore for help, because she would trust him with her life. But will she trust him with her heart?

Return to Us (Willow Creek Valley #1) by Corinne Michaels
At eighteen, I walked away from Willow Creek Valley for good. I was young, scared, and stupid, and it cost me the love of my life— Grayson Parkerson. Fourteen years later, a crash sends me back home to recover.
Back to where we met, fell in love, and planned a future. The one he’s now living as a single dad to his daughter. Working at The Park Inn together gives us a chance to reconnect and seeing him with his little girl makes me long for the days when he was mine. One look in his gorgeous blue-green eyes, and it’s like I never left. One kiss, and my world is upside down. One night together, and I know without a doubt, in his arms is where I belong.
I’m not the girl I was—intimidated by his wealthy family and desperate to escape our small town. I can imagine a new life for us here. But he’s learned to guard his heart, and trust won’t come easily. How can I convince him to give first love a second chance?

Master Cordell (Master Key Book 2) by Samantha A. Cole
Retired police officer and Dominant Cordell Roberts earned the nickname “the submissive whisperer” by helping several women recover from abusive D/s relationships. After finding the courage to leave her cruel Master, Tiffany grows to trust the man who shows her what a healthy D/s relationship is like. The only problem is she was warned that the contract she has with Master Cordell will eventually come to an end. She’s not supposed to fall in love with him—unfortunately, her heart has different plans.
Fighting their unexpected attraction to each other proves difficult as Cordell and Tiffany work together to make Master Key Resort the premier lifestyle destination, but it's nothing compared to what they face when someone from the past threatens the future neither believes they can have.

You-Won't-Be-Single-for-Long Vodka Cream Pasta
This recipe will make enough for two couples. If you plan a romantic evening where more than two's a crowd, reserve half the sauce to freeze for another supper before the addition of basil, and only cook 1/2 to 2/3 pound of penne.
Ingredients
· 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil, once around the pan in a slow stream
· 1 tablespoon butter
· 2 cloves garlic, minced
· 2 shallots, minced
· 1 cup vodka
· 1 cup chicken stock
· 1 can crushed tomatoes (32 ounces)
· Coarse salt and pepper
· 16 ounces pasta, such as penne rigate
· 1/2 cup heavy cream
· 20 leaves fresh basil, shredded or torn
· Crusty bread, for passing
Directions
Heat a large skillet over moderate heat. Add oil, butter, garlic, and shallots. Gently saute shallots for 3 to 5 minutes to develop their sweetness. Add vodka to the pan, 3 turns around the pan in a steady stream will equal about 1 cup. Reduce vodka by half, this will take 2 or 3 minutes. Add chicken stock, tomatoes. Bring sauce to a bubble and reduce heat to simmer. Season with salt and pepper.
While sauce simmers, cook pasta in salted boiling water until cooked to al dente (with a bite to it). While pasta cooks, prepare your salad or other side dishes.
Stir cream into sauce. When the sauce returns to a bubble, remove it from heat. Drain pasta. Toss hot pasta with sauce and basil leaves. Pass pasta with crusty bread.
